Starting in the 2026 registration period, US Youth Soccer (USYS) will implement a September 1st age cutoff for registration.  Additionally, the age group player formation cycle will transition to run from August 1 to July 31, beginning with the 2026-2027 season.  This change aims to align age group formations with the school year, affecting how players are categorized based on their birth dates.
